Sun & Tallow began with a simple question:

Why has skincare become so complicated?

Everywhere we looked, products were filled with ingredients we couldn't pronounce, long lists of chemicals, artificial fragrances, and marketing promises that rarely matched reality. We wanted something different. Something simple. Something honest.

As Canadian women with deep respect for nature, traditional living, and the people who work the land, we found ourselves returning to one ingredient that had been trusted for generations: tallow.

The more we learned, the more we realized that many modern skincare products had drifted far from what skin actually needs.

At the same time, we noticed something else.

Many tallow brands were beginning to appear online, but too often they felt disconnected from the values they claimed to represent. Generic branding. Generic products. Questionable sourcing. Big promises with very little transparency.

We believed people deserved better.

So we decided to create the kind of company we would want to buy from ourselves.

From Humble Beginnings

Sun & Tallow was built from the ground up in Canada with no investors, no corporate backing, and no shortcuts.

What started as small batches made for family and friends quickly grew into something bigger. People loved the simplicity, the quality, and the fact that they knew exactly what was going into the products they were putting on their skin.

Every product we create is inspired by traditional skincare principles and a belief that nature often provides what we need without unnecessary complexity.
